| Hokan Son of Iceland ram Serkur White horned triplet (carries moorit and spotting) We are happy to have a son of Blanche in the flock. Hokan has extremely heavy, thick and strong legs, which we are finding to be a very desired trait in the meat genetics. He's also got good wide horns, a strong wide back, wide chest and rump. At left he is shown as a 5 year old ram, mid-winter (with some battle scars). He is much like Mjaldurson in his intelligence, curiosity and awareness of his surroundings, Hokan was bred to many of our ewes this season including: Wynona, Betty, Ireland, Ophelia, Lottie, Mia, Layla Horn, Cleo and Emily. Hokan has moved to a farm in Indiana now but I will keep this information here for reference for his 2008 lambs. |

| TCE376T Mangoson AI son of Mango White horned ram (carries grey and moorit) Another outcross for us, this gorgeous ram brings good horns, fleece, length and build to our ram line-up for 2007-2008. His sire, Mango, is shown at right. Mango scored a total of 84.5 at Southram, with an outstanding 9.5 for back and 18 for leg. Mangoson is one of the very few rams that managed to have a breeding group and also grow during the fall/winter breeding season. The other ram that we have who maintains top condition in spite of the rut season stress is the Kunningison. I was very impressed to see how big this ram is getting as he goes into his first year. He is shown upper right as a ram lamb in September. At top left he is shown in late May as a yearling. |
