The foal doesn't have a name yet, but I'm sure she'll tell us soon what it is to be. Here she is shown at 6 hours of age! It's amazing how vigorous and active these babies are at such a young age. I thought the Icelandic lambs were quick to move about, but the way this baby follows her mother, runs, kicks up her heels and jumps is quite a sight! We've been told to handle the baby often to make her gentle and used to humans, so with two children around, and a "Papa" who is just as excited as the kids, I don't think that's going to be a problem! |
