The sheep will be freshly shorn and the best of my fall fleeces will be available for sale. I am hoping for a day to highlight as many fiber arts as possible through fiber friends who are invited to come and stay the day and share their fiber passions with others. If all goes as planned we should have the following fiber arts in practice today: spinning (including spinning in the grease), weaving, knitting, crochet, felting (wet and needle), sock machine knitting, primitive rug hooking, and ??? 10am-4pm December 4th 5th Annual Christmas on the Farm here at our farm: The Lavender Fleece Please join us for a unique shopping experience, good fellowship and holiday treats. 10am-4pm |

| A Note from one of our Open Farm Day visitors: "I was at your open house a few weeks ago and neglected to get the names and phone numbers of the people in our community who have the lamb, chicken & pork available to purchase. I thoroughly enjoyed the activities you had that day. This was my second open house at Lavender Fleece and if this year was the criteria for future events, you will have another spectacular year in 2009. Great family event! We are so blessed to have vendors in our area that we can feel secure in knowing where our meat comes from and I thank you for making that knowledge available." |
