for our

Annual Fall

Open Farm Day

10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
If you have always wanted to visit a farm - or if you grew up on a farm-
or used to visit relatives on their farm -
and wish to re-experience that special feeling of being "in the country" or around "real" animals - like horses, sheep, llamas, alpacas, goats, chickens and farm dogs - then you are invited to visit us during our
Open Farm Day.

We do not charge you to park your car, or walk through the gate
- Admittance is free!
Your children may tour the farm with our children and see what it's like to live on a real working farm
.
Be sure to dress appropriately for the weather.

Please do not bring your pets -- we have our own crew here and ask that visitors
not bring their dog(s) to the farm today!

For more information please
email or phone 989/832-4908.
Our address is 3826 N. Eastman Rd., Midland, MI 48642 for those who want to
"mapquest" directions.

.
Visit during our Open Farm Day for a fun-filled family outing (that won't "nickle and dime" you) and a chance to do some pre-holiday shopping. There will be many unique gift items in our shop -(it's not too early to start Christmas shopping) - including stoneware pottery, dried lavender bundles from this year's harvest, lavender soaps, lotions, culinary lavender items, wool for spinning, felting, knitting and weaving, one-of-a-kind handmade Icelandic horn buttons, Felted hats, mittens & purses, books and even some antiques!

A growing focus for our farm events is Locally Grown foods. Come and meet some Midland area farmers who grow pork, beef, chicken and eggs...and of course, we offer prime Icelandic lamb by the 1/2 or whole (availability is limited, so do order early). Find out who you can purchase safe, humanely farmed locally grown meat from. Our farmers will be fixing samples on the grill and taking orders. You will also be able to purchase fresh local Goat Cheese,  fresh eggs, frozen pork, chicken or beef by the package that day (be sure to bring a cooler!).
Joining us this year will be:
Deborah Groat from Savarine Creek Farms will be here with her uniquely beautiful handmade seed jewelry from heirloom seeds grown on her local farm.
Michigan Author Team on Tour
Three local Michigan authors will be here to sign their books and share their joy and passion for writing. This three member team consists of:
Barbara Hagler with her book
"Henrietta's Hope."
Tina Marie with her book
"Isabella Learns to Share."
Joyce A. Howard with her book
"Called to Be Different: A Woman's Journey into the Heart of Christ."
Owens Farms will be here once again grilling delicious samples of their locally grown pork & beef with USDA inspected/approved frozen meat for sale as well - bring along a cooler to take home some of that great bratwurst they are known for!
Check back for updates as others confirm their availability to join us on October 9th.
