| LF1M "Gwendolyn" White horned twin (carries grey and spotting) 1/4 AI (Moli, Ari) Lambing record: 2, 2, 3 (AI), 3, 2, 2 We consider Gwendolyn another of our key foundation ewes and have retained two of her daughters in the flock (see below). As a one winter ewe she delivered twins unassisted on pasture - they went on to grow out to the size of singles. She is an incredibly independent mother, able to nurse triplets on her own and has never required treatment for anything. She is also consistently parasite resistant, as are her lambs. She is one of our gems. Gwendolyn is shown above left as a 4 month ewe lamb and at right as a 4 year old ewe. Gwendolyn's 2008 lambs out of Rubus were so spectacular that I am repeating that breeding this year. One lamb reserved. |
| LF191S "Violet" Black/grey mouflon horned triplet 3/8 AI (Moli, Ari, Flotti) Lambing record: 1, 2 This lovely daughter of Gwendolyn (see top of page) is out of Tolkis. She is very well built and has shown exceptional parasite resistance during one of the worse summers we've had for heat and humidity. As a fast growing triplet she is showing all of the qualities we are looking for in our flock and will be part of our future. |

| LF264T "Silfra" Black/grey horned twin Lambing record: 2 This absolutely stunning, and very well built ewe lamb is another one of Gwendolyn's daughters - this time out of a Hylur grandson. I am hoping she proves to be as prolific, hardy and milky as her dam. And what a pretty fleece she has! Not only was her wool extremely soft, it also had a very good ratio of thel to tog. She also had 4 1/2 lbs. of lamb fleece, which is exceptional for a 6 month old lamb. Silfra twinned unassisted and raised two nice ram lambs her first year. Above left she is shown as a 5 month old lamb. At right she is shown at 1 1/2 years. I am quite amazed at how much darker her fleece is this year. |
