| LF96R "Alexa" Daughter of Iceland ram Abel White horned twin Lambing record: 2, 2, 2 (VAI), 3, 2, 3 This gorgeous ewe (aren't they all?) delivered a wonderful set of twins (unassisted) as a one winter ewe. They grew out to be as big as singles and as big as twins out of older ewes. What a star in the making she is! No wonder - Abel's milk score is 105! The next year she repeated her performance and her lambs were even more spectacular. Alexa is shown at right at 4 years of age after nursing her triplets that summer. Alexa's first daughter twinned as a yearling and her daughter the next season also twinned as a yearling! Great maternal line here!! Alexa also has proven to have a rare genetic mutation of her pattern genetics - she throws mouflon, grey AND white lambs! To read more about this, click here. | LF190S "Wynona" 1/4 AI (Kunningi) White horned twin (carries mouflon) Lambing record: 1, 2, 2, 3, 1 This extremely well built ewe is out of our Kunningison. Kunningi has a prolificacy score of 110 so this may prove to be a solid reproductive line. She was a very fast growing lamb and she has an exceptionally silky and crimpy fleece. Wynona is shown above at one year of age. She has also become extremely friendly and comes up to me to be petted, and chases the other ewes away so they can't get my attention. Wynona is being bred to Ragnar for her 2012 lambs. |

| LF277U "Felicity" AI daughter of Iceland leaderram Leifur White horned twin (carries spotting) Lambing record: 0, 2, 2 What an elegant and gorgeous ewe this is, much like her dam, Alexa (above). She had "presence" from the day she was born. She also has no fear, and is always going up to the dogs, to face them down and is first to watch when anything different is going on -- acts very leaderlike, which she should since she is the daughter of a leader ram. She is proving to be a curious, friendly leader, always coming to greet people at the gate. One day the dogs ran into her paddock area and she promptly chased every one of them out! Felicity is being bred to Ari this season. |
