LF369W "Baby"
Black badgerface horned twin (carries moorit)
AI lines include Eldar and Haengur
Lambing record: 0, 2, 2
This ewe was a twin to a one winter ewe.
She is very friendly and beautiful with a nice long body.
Baby's lamb fleece was incredibly beautiful, long and fine and silky, much like mohair, rather than wool.
For 2012 Baby was bred to
Jefferson.
Update: Baby had twins on April 4th.
TCE 497W "Raphaela"
AI daughter of Iceland ram Raftur
White horned triplet
Lambing record: 0, 2, 2
Raphaela's sire is an outcross for us so Raphaela brings in new genetics to the farm. Raftur scored an amazing 87 overall at Southram (Iceland) so we are very pleased to add this ewe to the flock. Because she was a triplet and smaller that first fall, I decided not to breed her as a one winter ewe, so she didl not lamb until spring 2011.
For 2012 Raphaela was bred to the
Visirson.
Update: Raphaela had twins on April 8th.
LF513Y "Ruth"
White horned twin (carries grey or solid)
AI lines include Raftur and Grimur
This ewe is just stunning with the great build I hoped for in adding the Raftur line to the flock. And what a gorgeous and long fleece! She is however very independent and wary, just like her dam is.
Ruth is being exposed to
Jefferson this season.

LF454X "Nabby"
Black/grey horned twin
1/4 AI (Flotti)
Lambing record: 1
It is my hope that this ewe carries on the heavy milkiness and amazing motherly qualities of her dam, Agnes. Sadly, we lost Agnes the summer of 2010, so we are very glad that her lovely 2010 daughter joins the flock. Abigail is friendly and curious and always comes running when she sees me, so she is a joy to have around.
She lambed unassisted at 11 months and had a well built, long bodied ram lamb that grew out big and hardy his first summer.
Nabby's 2011 lamb was so wonderful that I repeated that breeding
with
Ari for her 2012 lambs.
Update: Nabby had a ram lamb on March 20th.
