| Sunday, October 11, 2009. Our first Empty Bowls event to benefit The Open Door of Midland was held. A BIG THANK you to all the attendees and donors. I am especially grateful to our community because they generously donated $5200.00 to The Open Door through this event! I also want to say a huge THANK YOU to all of the wonderful volunteers from United Method Church who came together to prepare the soup and helped with serving and clean-up.
