April 5. Patsy Montana, age 11, delivered a gorgeous set of black lambs this afternoon. The ewe weighed 7 1/2 lbs. and the ram was almost 9 lbs. Their sire is "Lincoln." |

April 9. Yearling ewe, Martha Washington presented me with her first ewe lamb this morning. The lamb had a full belly already and the blood you see is from Martha having "cleaned out" the placenta already. So no need to worry about the blood on the lamb's head -- she had just walked into it inadvertently while nursing. She's a very solid 7 lb. lamb out of Jefferson. I just love these first time moms, especially when they do it all on their own. |

April 9. Not to be outdone by a yearling, Bea had twin rams lambs this morning. Both are white (7 1/2 & 8 lbs.) but have interesting moorit & moorit grey "spots" so under that white pattern I suspect they are moorit. Their sire is Rubus. |

April 9. What a joy to watch lambs being born from a distance in warm weather and sunshine for a change!!! Emmy had her 2011 ewe lambs easily and there is a badgerface ewe (8 3/4 lbs.) and a white ewe (8 1/4 lbs.) that are sired by the Eldarson. |

April 9. Lovely Xenia decided to go ahead and "get it over with" this afternoon as well. As a two year old she now has a perfect 200% lambing record. She had lovely twin ewe lambs out of Tyrson that were both 7 1/2 lbs. |
