April 21. A star is born! Our yearling AI Molur daughter, Xenia, had these black/grey ram lambs up and nursing early this morning. One weighed 5 1/2 and the other weighed 6 lbs. Their sire is Thor. For those looking to build a milking line of Icelandic sheep, one of these rams would be an excellent foundation ram. Molur's milking score in Iceland was an exceptional 110 (average score is 100) and these lambs are line-bred Molur with a dose of meaty Tyr in there too! One ram is reserved.
April 21. Faith had her lambs in the field this afternoon and did a great job with them. There is a 7 1/2 lb. white ram and a 6 3/4 lb. white ewe. Their sire is Pelison. Great combination of Eldar and Peli genetics for the triple purpose that Icelandics are known for. The ewe is reserved. The ram is still available.
April 22. Another flawless performance this year for our dear Gwendolyn, now eight years old. My only complaint is that she had them in the dirtiest part of the hillside. Oh well... if that's all I have to complain about! There is an 8 lb. white ram and an 8 1/2 lb. white ewe lamb. Take a look at those big fat feet and you'll know their sire is... Ragnar!  The ram is reserved.
April 22. Superb did a marvelous job this morning having a lovely set of ewe lambs after the sun came up. The white ewe weighed 8 lbs. and the black spotted ewe weighed 9 1/4 lbs. Their sire is Ragnar. The spotted ewe is reserved; the white ewe is still available.
April 23. M'Dear was busy getting her lambs up and nursing early this morning when we did our first light's walk. She two white ewe lambs, 8 & 7 lbs. Their sire is Pelison, who throws lambs with the most amazingly silky and soft fleeces. These lambs are granddaughters of our dear Blanche and should prove to be as hardy and prolific as their granddam and their dam are.
One lamb is reserved.
April 23. While M'Dear was here delivering her lambs, Petula was across the road at Papa Willy's farm having her first lamb way in the back of his 5 acres. He came over absolutely delighted that he had this lamb to fuss over. As you can tell by her expression, Petula was totally not happy that Papa made her and the lamb move into shelter for processing. The lamb is a grey moorit ewe, weighing 8 3/4 lbs. out of Tyrson. This lamb is reserved.
