March 31. Nanna produced twin ewe lambs early this a.m. They were both up and dry and chasing chickens in the barn at 6 a.m. One is homozygous grey and the other has a single gene for grey. Many people wonder how you can tell the difference. This unique set of twins clearly shows the difference between inheriting one gene for grey or two genes for grey. Their sire is Greyson. The double grey girl weighed 7 lbs. and the single grey girl weighed 8.25 lbs.
March 31. MORE VAI LAMBS! Violet was VAI bred to Iceland ram Flotti, and bless his heart, he threw his grey gene to both of these sons of his. One ram lamb is homozygous grey spotted and the other, I believe is grey/mouflon spotted!  It was a joy to find these two lovely rams on the ground this morning. The homozygous grey one weighed 9 lbs. and his spotted brother weighed 8 3/4 lbs.
April 2. Faith delivered an absolutely gorgeous black/grey ewe lamb this morning. She weighed a nice 8 lbs. Her sire is the Gaddurson.
April 3. Well, Gwendolyn did it again. This ewe has lambed 7 years for us now, and had three sets of triplets, the rest twins. All of her lambings have been unassisted. She's is an amazing ewe! We adore her. She had a 5 lb. white ram, a 6 lbs. black/grey ewe lamb and a 7 lb. white ewe lamb. Their sire is Rubus.
April 3. What pretty lambs! Both are girls (yeah!) out of Rachel and our Eldarson. We now know that he carries badgerface! The ewe on the left is most a grey/badgerface, but her face is still dark. She weighed 7 3/4 lbs. The white ewe lamb weighed 6 3/4 lbs.
April 3. Our dear Bianca delivered a pair of beautiful AI lambs out of Iceland ram Noi. We are absolutely thrilled with this ram (left - he weighed 9 3/4 lbs.) and the ewe (right - she weighed 8 3/4 lbs.) Bianca and her dam and sisters, etc. are some of my best ewes in terms of size, prolificacy, ease of lambing, caring for their lambs and also my best fleece lines. By blending this ewe line with Noi, I expect some very exceptional fleece sheep with good builds and good productivity.
