Early morning barn check found Puffin with this absolutely gorgeous 10 1/2 lb. ewe lamb out of the Kunningison. WOW! Good job with this one, Puffin. We tried to do VAI with Puffin over two different cycles and she didn't take, so she was with Kunningison, which probably messed up her natural fertility. What she lacked in quantity this year, she sure made up for in quality! I will be keeping this lamb.
Another early morning barn check and there is a beautiful lamb, cleaned off, up and nursing. Mathilde had a single black ram this year out of Kunningison. She was also another ewe that we tried two VAI sessions with, which didn't work. I do think this affects their natural fertility, especially when it sets the lambing season back so late. He weighed 9 lbs. and is very sturdily built. This lamb is available.
Eowyn was bred to the Kunningison this year and she delivered a lovely set of twins this afternoon. The ram lamb is white and weighed 8 1/2 lbs. The ewe lamb is a black/grey and she weighed 8 lbs. She's an awesome mom and it's wonderful to once again have such nice lambs from this very sweet ewe. The ewe is reserved, the ram is available.
Seraphima delivered an 8 lb. ewe lamb out of the awesome Mangoson this morning (a 2nd lamb, a ram was delivered unassisted, but was born dead, having been dead for awhile). The ewe lamb is quite lovely with a lot of long locks on her neck and chest. She will be the last of the Mangoson lambs for this season. She will be available.
