Oh do we love spots! And so apparently did
Dansa and Hokan, who produced this gorgeous set of twins. The ewe lamb (left) weighed 7 lbs. and the ram lamb weighed 8 lbs. It was so much fun to walk in the barn and find these three in the middle of a busy day on the farm. I haven't decided if I'm keeping the ewe or not, it will probably depend on if we get enough ewe lambs to fill orders!
Both lambs are reserved.

My dear, dear old gal,
Blanche (now 11 years old) delivered a perfect white ewe lamb this evening, once again unassisted. The lamb weighed 8 1/2 lbs. and her sire is LF241T. Of course I am keeping this lamb. Her name is M'Dear. Ok, you're wondering where some of these names come from... well, my 9 year old daughter loves American Girl dolls and the books. One of "Addy's" books had two characters in it, one named "Ida Bean" and one named "M'Dear." We loved those names and I told Mikaela that if Blanche gave me another daughter, her name would be "M'Dear." And appropriately Blanche's granddaughter out of Bianca is named "Ida Bean."

Kim , a 9 year old moorit grey badgerface ewe (a granddaughter of Mjaldur) who recently joined us from Tongue River Farm (thank you Susan) delivered a whopping 10 lb. gorgeous moorit grey badgerface ram lamb while we were at our daughter's softball game this evening. Mom and lamb are doing great. His sire is SRX413P a moorit badgerface horned ram out of combined Horvi, Bambi and Blaevar genetics. We will be keeping this ram.

Oh wow!!! A badgerface/mouflon EWE lamb and a black/grey ewe lamb out of our beautiful
Rachel this year. Their sire is LF241T, who has now given us all ewes this season. I highlighted the photo of the badgerface/mouflon ewe because this is a rare pattern combination. Notice how the neck and chest are light in color -- the mouflon pattern co-expressing with the badgerface removed the dark underbelly coloring that is the characteristic of the badgerface pattern. The grey ewe weighed 6 lbs. and the unusual ewe weighed 6 1/2 lbs. I am so pleased with these beauties! Both lambs are reserved.

Poise delivered twin EWE lambs this morning, both weighed 9 lbs.
What an amazing ewe, totally unfazed and back eating as soon as the babies were up and nursing. One is a moorit/grey and the other is a black/grey but very unusual in coloring up close. I'll have to post a photo of her dried off, as she looks like she's frosted! Their sire is
SRX 59N an AI son of Kani. Both lambs are reserved.

Oh how pretty these Icelandic lambs are!
Violet was busy cleaning off her ewe lamb (at left) when I went out this morning. She weighed 7 1/2 lbs. The ram lamb came a little later and also weighed 7 1/2 lbs. These are the only lambs we will have this year out of our Gaddurson, as he was used as cleanup after our VAI attempts. The ewe lamb is reserved, the ram is available.
